Hi, I'm Bernardo Aguiar and I'm extremely excited to share my Pandeiro Moderno course, presented by Groove Arte!
Like guitar, piano, and drumset, the pandeiro has transcended its regional origins and can be used to play any rhythm imaginable. I would love to share with you my vision of this small instrument, which comes from an ancient tradition yet has only recently entered onto the world stage as a universal instrument. The pandeiro is a complete and modern instrument, capable of synthesizing a variety of musical ideas.
This method, which I produced alongside percussionist and fellow pandeiro specialist Brian Potts, was meticulously prepared over many years. It is aimed at those who are already are familiar with modern technique, as well as those who are simply curious and wishing to expand their musical possibilities.
